WANEL Country Coordinator for Ghana

As country coordinator for Ghana, Dr. John N. Boateng prepares work plan and budget, leads research projects and is responsible for membership recruitment in their countries in accordance with the membership criteria. He prepares country activity report to the WGC every quarter.

Dr. John Nathaniel Boateng is a Senior Research Officer with Parliament of Ghana. John is skilled in Micro-Econometric Analysis, Fiscal Impact Analysis of proposed laws and regulations, analysis of Public-Private Partnership Agreements, Costing and Financing of Health and Social Protection Programs, grant proposal development (identification of a fundable project, assessment of viable funding sources, donor relations, proposal writing and budget development).

He holds a Doctorate in Development Studies from the Ghanaian-German Centre of Excellence of the Institute of Statistical, Social and Economic Research (ISSER), University of Ghana. He was a visiting PhD Scholar at the Centre for Development Research (ZEF), University of Bonn, Germany; Brown International Advanced Research Institute (BIARI), Brown University, USA; University of Helsinki, Finland and Peking University, Beijing, China.
