Dr. Maman Moumouni Sani Souley

After his ‘A’ Level, Dr Maman enrolled at the Abdou Moumouni University, Niamey where he obtained a bachelor’s degree in Sociology and a Master of Arts in Sociology in 2010 and 2012 respectively. Two years later, he obtained an M.Phil in Medical Anthropology (valedictorian) before continuing his doctoral research studies in Anthropology under the co-supervision of Ecole Normale Supérieure de Lyon where he defended his thesis.

He is interested in issues related to clinical trials and the way they are conducted, the multiple issues of medical research in Africa, the reform of health systems and safety. He is currently an associate researcher at the Laboratory of Studies and Research on Social Dynamics and Local Development (LASDEL). He is also participating in other research programmes.
