Dr Ermel is a public health physician and researcher in health policy and health system. He is an assistant programme officer in the Department of Public Health and Research at the West African Health Organization (WAHO). Ermel’s current research focus is on translating maternal, newborn and child health research evidence into policy; and connecting researchers to policymakers through a regional policy organization in supporting research teams in conducting high quality research and producing relevant evidence.

He has 8 years of experience in public health interventions, designing, implementing, coordinating implementation research project and networking research teams in ECOWAS sub region, and has published about 20 peer-reviewed articles. As the in-charge of implementation, he has developed strong collaboration with policymakers, research teams in West Africa, East Africa and in Canada.
